BCM Thought Matters Seminar – Video – 26 June 2014

The following presentation was given at Booth College of Mission in New Zealand on 26 June 2014 as part of our “Thought Matters” Seminars. These seminars are a monthly gathering for theological reflection and discussion hosted by Booth College of Mission.

This presentation was prepared by Professor Chris Marshall on the topic ‘Churches as Restorative Communities: The Promise and Practice of Restorative Justice.’

Is restorative justice an alternative that the church should consider? In what ways can we be engaged in restorative justice?

Professor Marshall is the inaugural holder of the Chair in Restorative Justice at Victoria University. He has published extensively on restorative justice and has received a number of international awards for campaigning in justice issues and teaching. A frequent conference speaker, Chris has lectured in a dozen countries around the world.

You will find attached below a copy of the powerpoint from the lecture for you to print off or follow whilst you watch the video.

Really enjoyed this seminar as it relates well to what’s happening at the courts (my workplace). Thanks for the huge effort, much appreciated.
