BCM Thought Matters Seminar – Video – 27 March 2014

The following presentation was given at Booth College of Mission in New Zealand on 27 March 2014 as part of our “Thought Matters” Seminars. These seminars are a monthly gathering for theological reflection and discussion hosted by Booth College of Mission.

This presentation was prepared by Colonel Margaret Hay on the topic ‘Holy Leadership? A historical case study of Brigadier Florence Birks’

‘You shall be holy for I the Lord your God am Holy’ (Leviticus 19. 2). The command echoes solemnly, but is it possible? Is this not impossible?

Colonel Hay considers the theme of the im/possibilities of holy leadership through the lens of Brigadier Florence Birks, a slightly irreverent but outstanding officer of the 20th century, known as a powerful intellectual, orator and spiritual leader.

A question sheet for reflection, or small group purposes is attached below.
